102 Gathering Basic Information About the Job

Having the relevant information for a job on hand at all times saves huge amounts of wasted time all the way through the process. Hopefully, most questions are answered here, and if not, the person who can get more answers is listed.

Internal Part/Drawing Number - How your company identifies the part

Customer Part Number - How your customer identifies the part

Engineering Contact - Your internal go to person in engineering

Quantity - How many to run

OD - Tube Outside Diameter

Wall - Tube Wall Thickness

Material - Mild steel, 304 stainless steel, 6061 T-4 aluminum, titanium, etc...

Surface Finish - Hot rolled, cold rolled, brushed, satin, pre-chrome, etc...

XYZ's or LRA's - A list of center points of intersection or machine moves that describe a good part

Bender to run on - Which machine to use

Tooling Required - A description of the bend dies by the stack (if multi-stacked)

Checking Fixture or Inspection File - Which checking fixture (hard gage) or inspection program (CMM) to use

Notes - Other information related to this job, like from other production runs
